Saturday, August 10th, my brilliant, beautiful, bubbling almost-walking-cart-pushing baby boy turned ONE YEAR OLD! (Watch the video to see why he's an almost-walking-cart-pushing baby boy!)
We had a wonderful fête upstate with family and friends, and had a completely awesome time. We cooked and ate constantly, played a lot, and of course, devoured a birthday cake! I took the approach that one can't possibly have too many candles, which proved to be untrue. Evidently, putting 2-dozen candles on a cake produces a decent amount of heat-- because the candles melted almost faster than we could blow them out!!
All in all, it was such a tremendous weekend, and we can't thank everyone who participated enough for making it all happen.
You guys are the best!!
