Do you remember...?

A few weeks ago, I told you that John and I have been working on a top-secret project up at Fox Ridge? Well-- last weekend-- we finally finished up that project and here are the latest photos of our victorious improvement!

If you can recall, we started this project by rearranging our living room to accommodate our "new" salvaged work-bench-turned-desk... Then we spray painted our "new" vintage industrial-style clamp lamp to better suit our brassy aesthetic, and then... we waited. And waited.

But-- TA-DA! We now have a wood burning stove/fireplace installed in the corner of the living room at Fox Ridge! With the help of a local chimney-and-fireplace man and a little creative thinking, we were able to install the hulking great Ben Franklin Stove that we bought so many years ago, and then sourced this whopping great slab of blue stone from a local quarry to fit just-right into the corner of the living room. The color match of the blue stone and the painted wood floor is RA-diculous. It is literally the exact same color. Now we just need to make a lovely stack of wood and hunt for some antique-y fireplace tools and we are IN BUSINESS!

I've got to say-- we are pretty darn satisfied with this endeavor!

William seems to be pretty chuffed with it too.
