An ongoing blog following a young married couple as they renovate their railroad apartment in Brooklyn, New York and a crazy falling down farmhouse up in the Catskills. Both husband and wife work full-time jobs each day, so almost all of their projects will be squeezed into any free second each night and every weekend. Hence the name: After-Dinner Design, though come to think of it, maybe we should change it to "So Tired Design"...)

This is pretty much a farce.
We're moving into our apartment in phases-- doing some painting, putting up light fixtures, gradually introducing pieces of furniture (it sounds a little bit like reintroducing solids after a terrible case of food poisoning, which-- come to think of it, is a good metaphor for living in our old building) but the hurricane-- the tsunami-- of boxes, baskets, and STUFF STUFF STUFF has yet to hit land. So, I'm going to show you these progress photos, but please know that it's kind of a lie... It makes it look so calm and organized in there, but actually-- it's only calm and organized because it hasn't gotten totally bat-shit-crazy in there yet.
But rest assured. It will.
